Show Stoppin' Sportster!
This is the other bike (in addition to Vern's Triumph) that is pictured on the front of the highly sought after May 1968 Roth's Choppers Magazine. The lengthened narrow glide/kr forks looks king on this short rigid. I'm sure this bike was properly tuned for Hall-n-Oats!

Roth's "Oink" Chopper
The Oink, straddled here by Robt. Williams looks so very nice and this has got to be one of my most favorite swingarm bikes. Its cool to see an RL front end being used back in the day as I haven't seen them on as many of the old customs. (photo comes from the green covered Rat Fink book by the Escalante Brothers)
I think this shot came out of the May 1968 Roth's Choppers Magazine but I can't be dead sure on that fact. I believe the Oink started out as an old Police auction Harley and the panhead was later switched out with a fresh late 60s Shovelhead motor!
Chris of the MC Art blog posted this a while back, the best picture of the Oink Chopper I've ever seen in a later, molded rendition with generator shovel motor!

Dick Allen's Panhead
Roth's Booklets
From Tony in the UK come these great scans of Roth's California Choppers booklet, forks and sissy bar extension guides, and a 1969 Choppers Magazine cover shot (type in "Trick Trike" under search blog for a few more photos of this trike). That maltese cross sissy bar on the booklet cover comes from Roth's Oink Chopper I believe. I really would like to see a couple more shots of that bike as it has superb lines!

As it says these triple clamps were been made out of brass and then chromed; very cool indeed! Cute model too! I just realized its the same girl in all the photos; the different hairstyles threw me for a loop!
Very neat drag pipes on this cool shovel! Well modeled pipes!
The fiberglass trike kits were also available for sale.
The "Holy Grail" pegs are way cool, just ask John Edwards. (all ads are from www.randysmith.info)
