American Motorcycling Magazine: 1955 - 1979 Online Issues
Maybe you already know about this but I just found out you can read most all issues of American Motorcyling Magazine from 1955 onward through Google Books here!
That cover is Charlie Jacob from over by Banger PA. He was an amazing guy. Hillclimber, ice racer, pilot, artist. I got a 45 ice racer from him long ago that looks like a converted Hillclimber. I pulled out the motor,stuck it in a WR chassis and been racing it for years, It's not been apart since he (or Sparky the HD dealer) built it up for ice racing in the late 50's.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the Hillclimber in the cover shot is now in Dale Walksler's Wheels through Time Museum in NC. Helmet and all.
