Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

First picture entitled "Clear for Action" by Georges Schreiber depicts the crew of the Submarine Dorado clear for action, with lookouts training their binoculars on an enemy ship while the gun crew loads a round in preparation for fire.  Notice the cool WWII USN Deck Jackets and Watch Caps worn by the sailors.

Second picture shows US Military t-shirts and sweatshirts from the 1940s / WWII Era.

Third photo from LIFE magazine shows an onlooker staring at a WWII era billboard at the Oak Ridge Facility warning workers to keep silent with regards to anything seen or heard "HERE".  (The Manhattan Project, aka development of the atom bomb was undertaken "HERE", in Oak Ridge, TN.)
