'51 Triumph Progress
A couple of people were asking how the bike was coming along so I thought I'd post some more pictures. Realistically I'm hoping to have it done by late November or December 2009 but its on its 7th year and everything seems to take much longer than I initially planned. The tank is currently with Harpoon being painted then it will be off to the Undertaker for some lettering on the side panels, or should I say cartooning. I plan on dropping the trump off with Meatballs in a week or so for the clutch, some primary and timing gears, battery, and wiring. Lets hope everything goes well from here on out. Its been an long and expensive road but I am very happy how the bike looks as it is a nice blend of drag racer, salt racer, and custom chopper, which is what I was hoping for.
Very very cool. Cant wait to see what else you do to it... NICE!
ReplyDeleteLooking good , aren`t there some ally wheels to come ? Love the sissybar.
ReplyDeleteThe front is a Borrani WM1 x 21 40 hole laced to a spool but I do have the WM0 x 1.40 laced to the triumph cub hub and all polished out. I want to run that eventually but in the interest of time and money and the fact this axle and spacers are ready to run I'm going to keep the set-up as is. I have a Borrani WM2 x 19 40 hole polished borrani that needs to be laced up but I'm just going to run the Dunlop WM2 x 19 steel wheel (as pictured) to get it going for now.
ReplyDeleterad...........

ReplyDeleteThanks to those that have left comments. The real test will be how the bike runs and handles which will only time will tell. I will keep you posted on here with any further progress.
ReplyDeleteThe "Star of David" sissy bar is sweet and the front end is wild. Real different from what is out there. Can't wait to see the tank on it. Love it so far.
