Up for sale is what I consider to be the best REPRODUCTION of a 1944 USN N-1 Deck Jacket on the market. This jacket is brand new and was ordered from Japan where it was an edition sold in 2013. I ordered the wrong size; otherwise it would never be for sale. THIS JACKET IS A SIZE 34 AND IS IN BRAND NEW, UNWORN CONDITION, WITH ORIGINAL TAGS AND BOOKLET.
Jacket features Grossgrain cotton jungle cloth outer that is 100% windproof with 1940's Talon brass zipper and authentic melamine buttons. Interior lining is an alpaca / wool blend just like on the original WWII issue of this jacket. Collar flips up to reveal a liberty "zig-zag" stitch and there is a wind resistant flap with button on the front. Other features include knit cuffs that are secured up inside the sleeve so that they don't snag and provide a superior wind seal. Bottom of jacket has two grommets on inside housing a drawstring cord to cinch the bottom tight against the wind.
Buzz Rickson sells two types of the N-1 Deck Jacket and this is the heavy duty version with the Demotex-ed label, which reads: DEMOTEX-ED. - MOTHS WILL NOT DAMAGE - A CHASE FABRIC. Purchasing this jacket domestically through History Preservation will cost you $688.50 shipped to your door and their model does not have the USN stencil (Japan only).
