'41 Chevy Outside Hollywoodland

Here's a nice '41 Chevy (thanks Rich for the id!) but what is more intriguing to me is how the "Hollywood" sign reads "Hollywoodland." Evidently the old lady who sold me the photo was telling me Hollywoodland was supposed to be a community of tract homes but the sign was later changed to the shortened Hollywood as we now see it today! I thought that tid bit if information was kind of interesting.
