Interesting Old Oil Filters

I picked these up at an antique swapmeet today thinking they were fuel filters but it appears they are actually oil filters. My Dad told me a filters like these would be used on an air compressor but it would be cool if one could be adapted to work as an oil filter on the bike. Since the fill point is at the top it could be problematic though. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment!

  1. Hey Stretch, I think those are actually oilers for large machinery/mostly old heavy machinery. Seen them on old belt driven lathes, steam powered tools and most recently on the arms that operate the paddle wheel on the steamboat at disneyland.

check out the link below and if you want to off them, put "steam" in the title and the old steamheads will gobble them up. Good find.
