I used to have a pair of those blunt model bullets on the hood of my 57 Chevy, they were made for export cars and were mandated because the pointy tail fin ones were considered dangerous, I'm thinking that by the time the pedestrian hits the hood he's dead enough.
They're rare as hens teeth, I shoulda kept 'em when I sold my car.
