The Knucklehead Called "Willy"

This is just a hunch but I'm guessing the Revell LA Chopper model kit was based on this knucklehead as the two look very similar. Its kind of interesting too as it says the peanut tank is a 1954 Bates, identical to the Wassell / Hap Jones variety. (Article from a 1971 Chopper Magazine)

The Revell Street Chopper was a copy of Bill Page's Knuck. Bill worked at a welding shop across the street from Revell on Glencoe Ave. In Venice, CA. The Revell guys were always having coffee at the diner next door. One day they brought cameras and took photos of Bill's bike. A few months later this bike kit appeared. The paint is different and much more chrome but it was definately Bill's bike.

Chris - I would be interested in seeing a picture of Bill Page's Knuckle. Let me know if you have one. Thanks, Stretch (pureheavensmetal@yahoo.com

Sorry, I don't have a photo of a bike that belonged to a guy I knew 39 years ago. Do you?

I'm only 31 so I'd have to say no. That sure would be an interesting picture to see for reference! Thanks for the info! Stretch
