As a kid growing up on the east coast in a rural setting - a kid with little exposure to anything other than Thrasher - this movie was epic to me.
Thinking about the film really takes me back. 11 year old angst, dreams of empty pools, wanting a floppy haircut and the "right" gear, trying way too hard, countless hours spent on curbs because there was just nothing else available...all of it.
